Our mission is to provide the convenience of snacks without the hassle — with a guarantee of high-quality, tasty snacks.

This page explains what Fresh Snacks collects, why, and how it's protected — in plain language, not legal boilerplate. It's a summary of our actual practices, not a substitute for formal legal advice.

What we collect

Automatically, the moment you open the site:

An anonymous account identifier (created by Firebase Authentication) and a device identifier stored in your browser's local storage — not a tracking cookie, just enough for your snack tab to reload the next time you visit the same browser.

Only if you choose to provide it:

A name, email, or phone number in User Settings; or a name, email, and message if you submit the Feedback form. None of this is required — the tab works perfectly with no name at all.

Snack activity: what you log from the Baskets page (snack, quantity, price, date), plus any payments the snack keeper records against your tab.

How we use it

To keep your snack tab and running balance accurate, to let the snack keeper manage accounts and payments, to show your chosen name back to you if you set one, and to read and respond to feedback you send us. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Where it's stored

In Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore), transmitted over HTTPS. Access is controlled by database security rules: you can only read or write your own tab and your own feedback; only the snack keeper (admin) can see every customer's data or the feedback inbox.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your anonymous identity and, if you've opened a shared tab link, the code that connects you to it. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Sharing

We don't share your information with third parties. The only people who can see your full tab or your feedback messages are you and the snack keeper.

Your choices

You can use Fresh Snacks entirely anonymously — a name is never required. You can add, change, or remove your name, email, or phone at any time from User Settings. You can ask the snack keeper to delete your data by reaching out through the Feedback page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as Fresh Snacks grows. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
